The center figure references a lamp post located outside of the Music Hall in Portimão, Portugal. Fashioned after figureheads placed on the bow of ships. As the isolation during the quarantine of Covid, Spring had set in and blooms abound. These day lilies were quite eager to rally in our garden. After much manipulation with color saturation in my digital photographic references, I was happy to pursue this composition heightening the color even more with florescent paints.
This 2 inch deep canvas is framed with a 2" wide profile, an antique gold floater finishing the appearance beautifully.
