At least 6 different manipulated images were arranged to reference and compose this painting. The arch is so dramatically tall that depicting its' entirety then dwarfs everything else. Here, the top half is depicted next to the bottom half instead of being stacked higher. Doing so, reinvented the space, allowing for more intimacy within the landscape and the figures. I loved the details throughout the arch so this way nothing was lost - just re-imagined!
