Painted in March 2020 during the beginning of the COVID-19 shutdown. As the world was coming to grips with the pandemic I composed these figures, taken from my trip to Portugal just weeks earlier, for use as allegory speaking to hope, the passage of time and staying the course for resolve. In Portugal you readily learn of Henrique the Navigator, (Prince Henry) a pioneer in Portugal's history of navigation and exploration. Are we there yet!? Unframed, 2" deep canvas, 40x30".
